Founded in 1987 The Great Kathmandu is spoken of all over the globe.

The food is priarily Nepalese and they are the winners of the prestigious 'The Observer' readers; best Indian restaurant in UK award.

Occupying a prime corner of trendy West Didsbury’s Burton Road, The Great Kathmandu is fully licensed having two floors of seating in a contemporary yet quintessentially Nepalese surrounding with a capacity of up to 170 covers.

The simplest of curries, eg Channa Dhal, are equisite; the Nan breads are fluffy and light. All dishes are spiced to perfection, clearly and the kitchen will gladly prepare requests that do not appear on the menu.
