River Restaurant & Bar

The River Restaurant opened in April 2001 and is situated on the first floor of the five star Lowry Hotel, part of the Rocco Forte Collection. Created by renowned designers David Collins and Olga Polizzi, The River Restaurant combines contemporary and classical design in a light filled oasis, overlooking the waters of the River Irwell.

Internationally acclaimed chef Ryan Murphy has created a new menu for The River Restaurant at The Lowry Hotel. American-born Ryan bring a wealth of culinary experience to the Lowry Hotel and the River Restaurant, having worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants in the US, Sweden and Austria. Ryan began his illustrious career in his hometown of New York where during his studies; he worked at the renowned three-Michelin starred Daniel restaurant. From there, Ryan went his way through the ranks and spent time working with Alain Ducasse at Essex House and Jean-Georges Vongerichten at the Trump Tower. Ryan’s style of cooking is to provide classic dishes created in a modern and stylish way, his philosophy is based on a “no nonsense” approach that only products in season should be offered on the menu for maximum flavour he believes in sourcing great quality ingredients and letting them sing.

Saturday and Sunday = 7:30 am to 11:00 am
Lunch:
Monday to Saturday = 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm
Sunday = 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm
Afternoon Tea:
Monday to Saturday = 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm
Sunday = 3:15 pm to 5:00 pm
Dinner:
Monday to Saturday = 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Sunday = 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm
